Christopher DellChristopher Dell studied vibraphone, piano and composition from 1985–90 at the conservatories in Hilversum, Rotterdam and Boston.

He received numerous awards and scholarships, among them the “Downbeat Allstar Award” 1990, Jazz prize of the city of Frankfurt 1993, ERTA composition award 1996, german critics award for the CD „Dancers on a Plane“ 1998, 2001 jazzart ward- music of the 21st century

From 1992–2000 he was associate professor at the music academy Darmstadt · tours in Canada, USA, Japan, India, Africa and Europe · interdisciplinary projects (performances, sound installations, lectures, ...) He has developed a very individual style of playing and composing, incorporating techniques of modern jazz as well as new music.
