Peter EisoldBorn in Dortmund 1959. Present residence in Muelheim/Ruhr. Free-lance musician since 1980.

From 1980 on appeared as drummer for the then internationally famous CONTACT-TRIO with Alois Kott and Evert Brettschneider.
First concert tour and gramophone record production.
1981: Three month’s South-America tour sponsored by the Goethe-Institute.
Thereafter numerous appearances with the Contact-Trio and participation in Rhein/Ruhr projects, e.g. in connection with the Cologne JazzHaus Initiative and the first legendary shows given by HELGE SCHNEIDER.

1985: Start of the BLUE BOX Trio with Rainer Winterschladen and Alois Kott. Then numerous BLUE BOX concerts at home and abroad, e.g. Austria, France, Spain, Switzerland, Poland, Yugoslavia, Bulgaria, Greece, Turkey and Israel. Invitations to international festivals in e.g. Salzburg, Nuemberg, Murcia, Wrozlaw, Zagreb, Athens, Istanbul, Bombay and New Delhi
1988: The highlight of the Blue Box concert tours was a two month’s tour through South East Asia at the invitation of the Goethe Institute.

1992: Further invitation from the Kultur-Institut to Portugal with the quartet JUNGLE PILOTS.
1993: This was followed by invitations to Australia and New Zealand.
1990s: In the early 1990s followed intensive studies of composition techniques. Commissioned for stage work by Theater Kohlenpott, On Semble Perform, Tanztheater Claviculae and Theaterlabor Bielefeld.
1996: Since that year, work on a solo programme called BATTERIE I and the setting up of a 10-man ensemble, ESSEN O-TON ENTERPRISE. Also member of QUINTETT SONNENSCHEIN and the trio TOYTONES.
In recent years, intensive experimental tone study and analysis of tone installation methods and alternative presentations.
1999, December: Premiere of OKTOGON (Vs. 1.0), a concert installation for computers, 8 loudspeakers and 3 soloists in the Alte Post Museum, Muelheim/Ruhr.
2000, August: Premiere of AQUA MUSIC, a concert installation for 8 CD-players and 2 soloists in AQUARIUS Water Museum, Mülheim/Ruhr.
Work with Jan Klare in the trio TOYTONES and various other projects, e.g. with Matthias Mueller’s BHAVAN.

2000: Eisold and Klare take on organisation and composition duties for the 15-man orchestra project SUPERNOVA - the RUHR-Project (with some of the best and most creative jazz musicians in the Ruhrgebiet) within the framework of the geographically wider festival SWINGBEATS/JAZZ PODIUM RUHR.The first-appearance CD came out at the beginning of 2002.

2001, Autumn: Production of the football opera ‘Das Duell’ in connection with the Dutch band ‘Palinckx’
( after an idea from Jan and Joern Klare).
2002, January: Nominated as composer for the JazzART Orchestra in connection with the JazzART Awards NRW.
